About Taryn Silverstein, D.O.
Dr. Taryn Silverstein is originally from Miami but was raised here in Wellington. She attended undergraduate school at Washington University in St. Louis where she obtained her degree in Anthropology and completed a pre-medical curriculum. During her junior year, she was lucky enough to study abroad in Sydney Australia, this was followed by a year moving across the southeastern US doing service projects with AmeriCorps NCCC. She then returned to South Fla to attend Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and subsequently spent 7 years at the University of Massachusetts completing her training in internal medicine, serving as chief resident and completing her fellowship in gastroenterology. She is board certified in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Silverstein initially became interested in gastrointestinal diseases in childhood as her brother was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at young age. Her passion has only grown since that time and she continues to enjoy caring for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal disorders.
Dr. Silverstein is excited to be back home in Florida at Gastroenterology Associates of Florida and is thrilled to be raising her family in the same area where she grew up.
In her free time, Dr. Silverstein is interested in nutrition and yoga. She also loves to dance, paint, travel and spend time with her wonderful husband and two sons.

Reviews
Dr. Silverstein is a very compassionate doctor. She listens, asks questions, makes sure you understand everything she is telling you. She doesn’t rush you. She wants to know everything that is going on with you. She does everything to help you. IBS is very difficult but she looks up everything concerning IBS and how to help and to see if there is anything new to help. She is a wonderful doctor that truly cares about her patients.
Dr. Silverstein is compassionate and professional, thinking outside the box and considers all aspects of her medical treatment.
Dr. Silverstein takes time with her patience and listens
Dr. Silverstein was very thorough. She spent time listening and asking questions. That’s a rarity these days (unfortunately). I was very pleased with my visit.
The wait was short and the doctor is very nice. Also helpful and efficient
